Series PFB-E & GFB-E: Delta’s Next-Generation High-Performance Fans

Delta’s latest E Series fans are engineered to meet the demands of next-generation server architectures and power modules.

As enterprise server processors and related technologies evolve at an accelerating pace, they bring increased power density and performance—often accompanied by greater demands for power and thermal management. In response, Delta has collaborated closely with industry leaders to develop a new High-Performance fan series. By re-evaluating and simulating every functional component, Delta has optimized the fans for improvements across the board: efficiency, vibration control, speed, noise reduction, resonance stability, and safety.

These advancements are further enhanced by integrated smart sensing technology, which not only boosts performance but also protects critical and costly server components. Designed to support platforms like Intel’s Whitley, where thermal design power (TDP) can exceed 300W, these fans deliver exceptional cooling capabilities. The new Delta High-Performance fans achieve speeds over 30,000 RPM while maintaining—or even reducing—power consumption compared to previous generations. They can generate static pressure up to 9.73 inH₂O, making them ideal for high-wattage, high-heat applications.

Smart Design for Long-Term Reliability

To ensure longevity and system integrity, Delta has incorporated a new smart communication architecture into the fan series. A built-in anti-reverse function activates in fail-safe mode to minimize reverse airflow losses, preserving system efficiency even under fault conditions.

Key Benefits of Delta’s New High-Performance Fans:

  • Ultra-High Speed: Fan speeds exceeding 30,000 RPM with static pressure up to 9.73 inH₂O
  • Enhanced Efficiency: Improved performance with optimized power usage
  • Redesigned Impeller: Boosted airflow and blade efficiency
  • Advanced Materials: New high-flexural modulus resin reduces vibration and enhances structural integrity
  • Smart System Integration: Intelligent design helps safeguard vital server blade components
